Herpes From A Pedicure

VV.AA. Italian Rude Boys CD
Amphibian rec in 20 new recruits of the Italian ska with a piece each. Good presence ska original, the groups that can be traced to this line are all very technically minded and very "hot." The Romans Jamaica Red Stripe (truly exceptional Skatalites oriented), the Bergamo Orobians (present with a cover) and KONTEA (with a great instrumental) and (Turin?) Mr. Steady Dudes (which I had already enjoyed a few years ago in Italian Ska Invasion vol. I) bode well Rudies the Italians. As for groups 2 Tone Resorts embraces fun (if not mistaken now have changed name), a nice discovery of the Wind Fronde, sparkling and dancing the removal Koatta, cute i Gradiska (But would also be the time to stop with all these word games with "ska") that reflect a historical piece in the intro beat ("If I want to leave" by Michael), very good with the Askers (including a new look session) and do not hurt Nunc Est Bibendum (I was expecting worse), Skastori's cute but do not choose the best piece of their album. Something to argue about Skarabazoo, Bassistinti (tackle a song like "Apache" is difficult and you are likely to regret the original sin ... because they are an interesting group), Neuro Disney band (can improve the technique's) and rough that do not reach the levels of crude. The Strivol, Rollowash, Gazpacho and Amanita muscaria are on enough with them a bit 'advantage in view of the progress (they have slowed down and have a very good voice).
I close the review here of the disk (it came pretty long eh?), In general say that the disc is very good and the italian rude boys in the coming days have to buy something without fear of scam.

Amphibian records by The Scrucialists (CH), 04/06, Bologna Workout Festival + Interview Dr. Ring Ding + King Django Interview by Patrick Skin
A concert that would be able to change his mind even the most convinced advocate of
infamous cliché that the reggae would be too monotonous. The concert starts at general indifference towards the 23, with a piece attacking Scrucialists
dubbeggiante, when at one point onstage King Django
that from the beginning of the dance with her singing halfway ta and the toaster

Scrucialists, always convincing despite the lack of a horn section

well bypassed by excellent keyboards) Django can not ever be boring. Fell and remained the Scrucialists King Django, in the midst of the cries of the public onstage Richi, or Dr. Ring Ding, which is the best toaster Europe. As always, takes the stage in an exceptional way, helped by a remarkable physicality,

never loses the undivided attention of the public and can make people laugh and smile
several times but without ever stop dancing.

Unfortunately the nature of the tour and the band can not reproduce all
his vast repertoire, but is limited to pieces &
ragga dancehall, highlighted by a Call Di Doctor scope for long
that would never have wearied the public and even some pieces of Calypso
that demonstrate the love of this 'Man for the Jamaican tune. He is dedicated
even close to a busy piece against the war in Iraq,
one thing (the dedication policy) than ever before I happened to hear him
. After a descent from the stage where no one had believed the two toasters
back together on stage and offering pieces of the repertoire of
Ring Ding, plus a few tracks on the new "King Django Meets The
Scrucialists. Always ragga copyright Ring Ding with
that continues to dominate the scene making fun of everyone, especially himself. After another out
already more credible and Django Richi
back on stage to bring the piece recorded with the Grover
that the name on the tour and a fun version of Dancehall rock
then left to finish in the dub cove when the Scrucialists curtain.
Ultimately a great concert with a superb Ring Ding.

Interview with Dr. Ring Ding

D: why, Richi, so spaces between
Jamaican musical genres, passing indifferently from reggae to ska to dub the Original
calypso?

A: Oh I listen to all types of music and sound
almost every type of music in different formations. For example sound in a jazz band, in a swing and a
that is French music. But the Jamaican music
is that I love. Whole. So that is where I invest my
major projects.

Q: why on this tour keep more or less all kinds

before except the original? A: because I wanted to do a tour focused on the dancehall, and

also on the characteristics of those who accompanied me

Q: where does the choice to sing mostly in English?

A: I do not sing in English if not in small part to be understood by more people
but because this music sung in English and I was born
seems more respectful of tradition. For example, if I did
Italian music would be sung in Italian.
French music when I play I do it in that language. In my life I wrote
not more than five songs in German to my first group and even less
later.

Q: Why no trombone to later in this tour?

R: see, in the past just because I have not played the trombone very
you can almost be considered an obligation, it would be like saying that because of the sound
swing I always have to sing like Frank Sinatra (
and begins to sing and all turn to look at him!)

D: and then the beautiful intro with just your memory of
concerts with the Senior AllStars I can not see them again?

A: Yes, when I have another project which involves a return to the Original ska

Q: perhaps with the Senior AllStars?

A: No, we are divided and they are loose,
fact that the band is on tour this summer for Grover, the TSA (aka The Senior AllStars
) has already created a side project while they were playing with me
and that has nothing to do with the group I accompanied as it provides an immersion
ska jazz

Q: In conclusion, plans for the future?

A: take a tour around Europe during the summer, then enter
in the studio and record an album of swing and a solo album.

D: thanks and congratulations

Interview with King Django

D: Django, you come from New York, as the musical situation in
USA?

R: see, since the mid-nineties we have many good bands who fell in love with ska and reggae a lot of people, so many sounds. But not We have a lively scene at the level of public

Q: How do you live the relationship with Jamaican music?

A: Well I come mainly from ska ska and I love and I've always played very
But while I always enjoyed the reggae and
this tour is proof

Q: How many times have you been playing in Italy? R: This is the ninth, I intend to get to ten before the end of the year

. Unfortunately, this is the only date on this tour in Italy.

Q: Plans for the future?

R: playing live for several months and then continue my side
project, including where a band that plays very hard, a rock project
ragga reggae and of course the

D: thanks and congratulations

The Boogamen "44 range for the inspector Cannaghan"
CD Relative Foundation

Presented by Clint grnadioso EastWEED debut with this CD cover in the Genoese Boogamen. They are a very diverse group, and this can be heard (and appreciated) in these 6 tracks. Certainly owe much to the groups of Moon Ska (RIP): echoes Toasters (no raggamuffin) Skoidats (without the deep voice though), etc. Porkers. mingle with pieces in which more than 2-Tone ska can be heard (as the beautiful opening track "Tightrope Walker") or to detach itself reggae, or even a piece of clear matrix hardcore ("Damage"). A disc, then, that in six pieces can give the idea of \u200b\u200btraining certainly eclectic, but who knows how to move with style in presenting all kinds. I am certainly not a ska-core ska P grew up and stuff (in fact many years ago that appears on the scene), 9 boys are loads of energy that will entertain and amuse, for sure. Good recording and nice graphics, with texts included, purchase iperconsigliato unless you are very strict purists.

Isitnormal I Shower With My Sister

May 10: Anger + state of intoxication by

Carlo Steak-oi!

19:30 am when we start the arc to attend the concert of anger in that of Verona. Fortunately, Bonez, lead singer of a state of intoxication, send me via internet directions to the venue of the concert, however, as we shall see, they were not accurate ... just got in the car, Faith, Simo and Jupiter begin to tease as usual for the size of my belly, dismisuratamente will grow during the trip due to the large supply of beer, of course, could not miss. After a brief stop to "pick up" of the Forsaken Matthew, we come to Verona after an hour, and here by chance indovinamo the road then, after several episodes very idiotic (I say no more), will take us to the Pub Anonymous. Once
greet others Arco took to Venice in the afternoon, and obviously angry, Luca, Stefano, Luca Marchetto and while Rava beer offered at all ...
Shortly after we discover, bitter that the band of the district is not playing, but the reason I is still unknown. Meanwhile, Marco comes to Rebel Goods (fanz of Verona) with a guy here and begin treviso trade cds, etc.. While listening to the

sàundcièk of anger, XtopoX pop up with their wives (Alice), Neck, and Casper.
The evening begins with a melodic hc group, which frankly I did not like very much and to whom I can not remember the name, perhaps also due to alcohol level at which we had arrived! We were waiting for the anger ... and after about 30-40 minutes here is that our friends more pissed off than ever climb on the shelf of the room and begin aa warm up the audience with the new piece peeled free dogs, recently released on the compilation La Strada Brucia Still, the frenzy begins here ... and I raise glasses and a shirt and start the mosh, which then turned into a mass of indistinct shaved heads, a fantastic show. People were not great, but given the size of the room, filled him great. At one point collar and Matt decides to raise myself, and here I say the scenes spanzarsi laughing: innumerevogli the efforts of the two "courageous" to lift a mass of gelatinous fat and sweaty, that only after the intervention of some of our friends to succeed in the enterprise ... a scene fantozzi! Oh well, back to the concert that truly deserves to be told. Luca with his hoarse voice and unmistakable takes the stage in a truly unique, singing the new songs coming soon, and could not miss the classics of their repertoire: Football thirty new version, anger, a law for me, overalls, beer and football boots, red and blue uniforms, press the rough, the ACAB 4skins and finally perform a piece that always take to the streets of Nabat. The anger, in my opinion, with their Oi! 80 years, hard and direct, is a group that must support and celebrate, because truly deserve!

Cold Cruising In Jan From Ny

Children of Alex "No talking! Fight!" OPD

Self

MCD with 4 pieces of onset for this new oi! band from Arco, Trento (which lately seems to be a great ferment). Their business card oi-core is a hard and fast, which in some places reveals real hardcore influences (as in "In my town"). The voice is not too "growl", and this is a point in their favor, plus there are also beautiful works of guitar (the first song "Beer and pats") and feels the desire and energy to play. This is affecting them rather than the record low (especially in the last piece), but it must be said that the CD is a demo is done and pay just € 2! In short, it is only a technical factor that pass soon. A final note on the texts, to signal "Sorci green" against the Northern League, but above all "Friends of the oratorio" with a great start!

Good Riddance - Bound by ties of blood and affection Fat Wreck

In my opinion, Good Riddance continue to grow after apprezzabilissimo Symptoms of a Leveling Spirit I mean is a hard splitting your ass better come with this job sizes in the composition of the pieces, and refinement of sound, an album that borrows liberally from both the 'hardcore' old 'but it sounds blend seamlessly with the most powerful new managing to pull off a mix frighteningly energetic.
The songs are real guns, or when they are slow (see "Saccharine" "Boxing Day" "The Process") v cmq are filled with the sound and "carrying"
Another great album for a band who in my opinion in his career has gone down in tone only with Operation Phoenix, which was the only work of the band that has added glory to a group so worthy

Banda Bassotti "Asi es mi vida"
CD Shout Forte

To tell you the respect that I have of the band, I say only that I preferred to buy this album than "The Upsetter" by Lee Perry, disk (I'm ashamed) more I miss her. In reality this is not really a new album of the band but a kind of tribute to the songs of popular struggle in different countries, of course, rearranged and played by Bassotti and other important guests (to name a few others I quote from Lou Watts of Chumbawamba, Chris Byrne and Rachel Fitzgerald Unity Squad, former Ghetto Rude 84 and the ever-present Arkarazo Kaki, who is also as producer) . 17 pieces plus bonus dub, the pieces are chosen ranging from Cuban popular songs ("Guantanamera" or "Que linda es Cuba"), songs of Irish liberation ("Sam song" Go on home british soldiers "), singing anti-Franco English (El fifth regiment "" El paso del Ebro "), the German national anthem" Arbetlose Marsch, "Catalan" proceso ", the song Sandinistas' Nicaragua Nicaragua", Basque song "Yup la la" (on the death of the Dauphin of France, Carrero Blanco), the South American "El pueblo unido" and "Gracias a la vida", the Soviet Poliouchka polyester and other Italian songs ("Whistle the wind "," Stalingrad "," Children Workshop "). It is also the poem to music "Asi es mi vida" (which, as you understand, title track) written by Pablo Neruda, and the last piece is composed of sound samples taken in Ramallah. What can I say? In addition to the originality of the idea and the work done to fish out and rearrange these pieces is will also appreciate the beauty of the arrangements, sounds and musical skill of the player. In short, the record is more than pleasant, the liveliness of the songs is remarkable and beautiful, even the difference between songs, so you can move on from Celtic songs to choral singing of "Poliouchka polyester" or "Children Workshop", a true latin ska or streetpunk reissue of "Stalingrad". In short, given the price, which is contained in the shops (13 €), I think this record is a must for all those who still believe in a cause.

Lagwagon - "Blaze" Fat Wreck

begin to talk about this record is the premise that Lagwagon a while that I listen to them and do not know what has prompted me to download their latest work, they are a good band, and a disc full of shit they could not do, But much has changed from the old Lagwagon, this "Blaze" has left me a bit like the time I left "Pump Up The Valium of NOFX ... disoriented.
Let's say the base is a very good melodic hardcore, but a tendency to discharge some of the anger and give more play to tunes you know ... intimate. not yet entered my head to a particular piece in the "Dividers" but it could be the fault of a few plays made so far. Of course, it does not recognize the disc to Lagwagon "Duh!" but it is a record that deserves to be heard, and although at first glance their expectations may be disappointed, after several plays and after it is entered in view of the change that appears to have occurred in the group is pleasant listening, but I repeat nothing epochal or extraordinary

Parade antifa + S * Counter-Wrangler-Brigade Dog Beer-Range Tank Live @ Orso.

April 25-Milan

was ages since I moved over to Spezia, and a combination of bad luck that I had prevented many now touched the levels of the Himalayas. This April 25, however, was a date quite significant and could not be lacking on this occasion.
For once it decides to join the Italian SHARP behind the banner of "anti-fascist skinheads" and to participate in the piece antagonist of the event on April 25, after considering the latest news from across Italy who see many neo-fascists stand up (Cock), this it's time to give a specific answer. The presence of skinheads in the parade is a good example of how you can start to organize. The piece is not huge, but the appearances are few and are not well distributed, children from Reggio Emilia, Parma, Turin, Verona, Viterbo, Biella, Salerno, Trieste, Florence, Bologna, Bergamo, Spice & Carrara (or three of us) and, of course, a good presence in Milan. The procession passes through a tense moment when a car catches fire brigade, for a moment the police seems to load but then the situation calms down. In this case it must be said that any charge could have been dangerous, as the procession, although it had formed a cordon immediately, remained a little 'out "... who was there knows what I mean. However
the procession ends, the Bear is back soon after, and after 19 it is an interesting meeting place for the possible creation of RASH Italy, an organization that could help (with no arguments or divisions) SHARP and present a united front as "politically advanced" we might say (I hope I explained well). The meeting is interesting, certainly the work to be done is enormous and will have to wait to see the results.
Immediately after the hunger calls and we head for a pizzeria, the Navigli area where there is the CSOA is really nice and then there's a pub for every 10 meters, great! After the eaten remains room for a little chat with people 'from all over Italy and arrive early hours of the concert.
begin the Brigade Dogs Beer, group or Milan, I had never heard them, there's Phil on bass (then just tell me), they play a punk-or derived from scene oi! English of the 80's (many in fact the cover of Oppressed, Last Resort and the remake of "You'll never walk alone"), his voice hoarse hyper (maybe sometimes too well), some accelerated and a piece ska-core. In short, a good group, just the anthem "Bonehead", then I think they can improve.
After they play against the S *, and I must say that every time I see them manage to be even better. Take the stage by god, precise sound (apart from a couple of mistakes of the drummer!) And loads, the pieces are fabulous and they have great lyrics that say? Except that eagerly await the release of their new album for listening to consume billions times. Salaam then running as the last piece, "Zu atrapatu art of Negu Gorriak.

After them is the Wrangler Florence. I had never seen live and I knew a few cuts, though theirs is a classic example of oi! Italian, played with grit and passion. Refer "Nichilistaggio" (and I praise the maximum) and "Landslide curve (even if their version is not the best I've ever heard). The public, however, form a group of hardened pogatori under the stage and appreciates them very much.
It seems that the concert is over, and instead take shape on stage Rango Tank, a group from the province of Bergamo. Of them can not speak too much for the simple reason that I was really tired and I attended their concert only entry, or did I just say that! pretty fast and does not seem bad, but again, I was really tired!

Scrambled Eggs "Drepanum hardcore
Takeaway Records CD / Sprains autoproductions poetic

Ok, not to mention a very fine album co-produced by me but I see to be impartial, trust me. Then, the MCD is highly original, consisting of 4 pieces themselves, 2 "intro", a poem and a video track (turn very well) of "Moonlighting," where you can also see a few clips from the live band. The Scrambled Eggs beautiful sounds or rather, at certain times you leave groped hardcore, with a beautiful voice hoarse but also knows to sit on the melodic (at work), pumping drums and bass and a guitar that also gives some assolino , recorded all over the Italian media. In short, the result is a very good album by a band of "revelation" that comes from an area, Sicily, which is a long time ago not to talk about himself, and this is a group that could revive the scene. Waiting for a proper album (hopefully), I recommend you buy this CD, I'm only 3 or 4 euros!

Can I Use Peroxide On My Dog Penis

VV.AA. "Rebel Inside" Self-produced CD
7 bands of Milan, Bergamo and the surrounding area come together for this benefit compilation for the court costs of Marina and Vincent, two of those arrested for the G8 summit in Genoa. Among them, 3 groups hardcore (logic of death, Ugo Piazza and Raus Kaos) 4 group or (bad reputation, Brigade dogs, beer and stampers Tank Range), all with a piece except Ugo Piazza who attend with two songs ( recorded live). Beyond the fact that a compilation of its kind to be supported from the outset, the groups are valid, and I'm glad I finally heard something about the bad reputation (which shall be dissolved unless I am mistaken!) And the stampers have discovered that I had never heard of but are pretty good.

How To Make Airsoft Patches

Skastori "Bikini" Self-produced CD

Forget the name (which does not offend anyone if I say that sounds like a ska-core group of fifteen), because these six guys know how to make and package a CD of 10 pieces of 2 Tone ska influenced by with some delays and some rocksteady accelerated energy. Melodic voice and a bit 'husky, well-designed arrangements, with some wink at the more poppy ska (maybe it's the recording?), Accurate and relevant the brass section. Spare almost all in Italian (except three), lightheadedness (very funny to "Big Brother") about women and friends (as well as "Tony scooter boy", oi-punk-influenced piece) but also a piece seriously (and sadly now) as "Leave everything." In short, a good example of Italian ska that is not seduced by fashion trends, but following his own style, the attempt is commendable and I think that this path can still grow, technique and desire to do that are secure. Thanks to Janus (including trombonist of Askers, another great group) gave me the disc!

Threat of riot "Seasons" Mega CD co
Once upon a time the Brigades rough, punk-oi! from the capital assets with a 7 "all in their Mad Butcher and a pair of split (respectively with The Boils and Los activos). Now the brigades are gone and in their place here is the Threat of Riot. What will change? Well, if you heard the 7 "split with the Los activos you can guess, but if that record will tell you now that these missing Threat of Riot play hardcore, hardcore in the style of Kid Dynamite and Ten Foot Pole, in short, those groups that beat as of the damned on the instruments. But there's more, because 'sti romanacci also shove in a lot of pieces fall off, the melodic style Strike Anywhere in the NYHC style, Sick of it all, in other words bring out a much varied, not boring and that you listen for long, always as if for the first time. We also add that even the decency to coverizzare (their way) a great song like "My Life" for This side up (large group of HC Roma, unfortunately loose). I would end by saying that the book and the graphics are very nice, with pictures, text, explanations of the texts, contacts of the 18 (!!!) who participated in the CD labels and several pages dedicated to Food Not Bombs, PETA, veganism and Ebasta. In issue 3 we can find interviews with Alcoholic Brigade and Red Scum, and reviews with a special live reports and reviews of the best records in the history oi (why are not there ???). Last Resort The number 4 has a few pages less but better layout (the look and feel reminiscent of "United Skins"), interviews with Brains Stanki Lambrusco and records and then always a few reviews and a short article against the football business. VV.AA. Screams from the Grand Duchy

CD / LP Area Pirata

compilation produced from the Pirate of Pisa who are specializing, as well as producing new bands, including the repechage groups, unfortunately, been somewhat forgotten. This time the protagonists of the disc are four bands from the historical experience that Hardcore was the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, who had actually unearthed groups such as CCM or Putrid Fever and had created the historical places such as Victor Charlie in Pisa. These groups are the Wardogs of Lucca, Pisa Without steering, the Holocaust Aufschlag of Viareggio and La Spezia. The authors begin Wardogs a furious HC sung in English that recalls bands like Discharge, angry voice and extreme speed, this is to say! Truly a shot, certainly will please those who appreciate the genre. The Steering Without
instead are completely different, HC understood in a very personal way, rather slow, with a beautiful melodic voice and lyrics more "intimate", so that for some things may well remember some emo-core groups present. Now, I know this may seem a shit, the group was active in 85 / 86 when emo was still a perfect stranger, but some pieces, if played today, could also fall under that definition. We say, however, that as a group may remember a few things Fall Out La Spezia, the panic of Kina and let the conversation here! With Aufschlag returns to a HC-fast, very short pieces (almost all around a minute in length), angry abbestia, texts in Italian very politicized, we Wretched style, or Underage Uart Punk, and I also believe that in some parts ("Victims" for example) do not have that much to be jealous of their "colleagues" most popular. Rounding out the disc (with a single piece "Holocaust") the Holocaust, which was the famous singer Porfi. Bad Trip. Unfortunately the recording does not help them, but the song is a classic example of HC 80, but not too fast and well paced.
